This message is applicable to suppliers who deliver to Thurrock RDC (Regional Distribution Centre)
What’s happening?
We use WMS to run our depot operations, and this creates tasks to pick, load and despatch goods from all of our depots into our stores. Over the next 12 months we’ll be upgrading all twelve depots across our logistics network.
As we’re switching over to our new system, the depots will be offline for a period of 24 hours. This period of downtime will result in us removing a delivery day for our stores – for Thurrock depot this will be Sunday 23 February 2025.
Why are we doing it?
Our current Warehouse Management System will be end of life by 2025. We also use two data centres in Salford and Rochdale, which we need to exit by the end of Q1 2025. With Manhattan Active we'll never need to do an upgrade again. All upgrades will happen in the cloud, meaning that we won't need to carry out projects such as these in the future.
